January 29, 2014

From January 15-29 we hosted a Korean family: Professor Kim Tae-Ki, his wife Moon Ju-Youn, and their daughter Kim Geon-Jeong (who had already studied for some years in the U.S. and often goes by the name Tiffany). Professor Kim teaches history at a Korean university and was in Washington in order to do research at the National Archives. In gratitude for our hospitality, they offered to prepare a Korean meal for the monastic community on the evening of Sunday, January 26. The photo shows them hard at work in our kitchen preparing the meal, which all of us found very tasty.
