On the feast of the Epiphany, celebrated on Sunday, January 5, we rejoiced to have ten members of our Oblate community who had been candidates for at least a year make their final oblation during conventual Mass. This represents a special way of being affiliated with our monastic community. A key part of the formula of oblation was each person’s promise “to dedicate myself to serving God and others according to the Rule of St. Benedict insofar as my state in life permits.”
