St. Anselm’s hosted this afternoon a book promotion and signing by author Dawn Eden. Her second book, published by Ave Maria Press, is entitled My Peace I Give You: “Healing Sexual Wounds with the Help of the Saints”. A convert from Judaism and a victim herself, Ms. Eden writes about men and women saints who struggled with great adversities in their lives. The holy men and women exhibit real-life examples of Our Lord's abundant graces available to those deeply wounded, especially when one unites his or her sufferings with those of Christ on the cross. Ms. Eden's book teaches her readers that with the help of the saints, one can come to realize that God can and does heal the devastating hurts from such abuse. Our Abbey was priveleged to host Ms. Eden and pray many will be drawn more closely to Christ through her much-needed witness and testimony.
