Fr. David Tracy, Greely Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus of Catholic Studies at Chicago University Divinity School, gave the 37th Annual Thomas Verner Moore Lecture, sponsored by St. Anselm’s Abbey in cooperation with the Catholic University of America School of Theology and Religious Studies. His topic was Faith and Reason: Ways to the Question of God, which he distinguished by four modes of their relationship gleaned from the works of the Medieval scholastics, especially St. Thomas Aquinas, of St. Anselm, St. Augustine, the monastic and contemplative writers, and the teachings of the ancient non-Christian religions. His presentation was well received and appreciated, and there was time for further discussion or questions in the reception that followed.
