Guests invited by the monks joined the monastic community for vespers of the solemnity and then a buffet supper in the calefactory. Abbot James presided at vespers and then welcomed all the guests to the fine dinner prepared by our kitchen staff. Many expressed their thanks and appreciation for being with us to celebrate the memory of St. Benedict and the influence of The Rule on monastics and lay persons today.
