On this Third Sunday of Year B, Michael Cina and Patrick Rochwell came before the Abbot, the monastic community and oblates to make the formal start of their oblate novitiate. Oblates gather regularly on the first Sundays of the month to join the monks for the conventual Mass, provide a choir, and meet with Fr. Boniface von Nell, the Oblate Director, afterwards. We are blessed with the number of lay men and women who are dedicated to living as faithfully as they can according to the Rule of St. Benedict in their secular lives. We are especially grateful for their prayers and various kinds of services for the monastic community.
