Fr. Christopher and Bro. Dunstan attended this annual vocation event for eighth graders of the Catholic schools of the Diocese of Washington at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. At a table in the exhibit hall they invited students to come see pictures and handouts about St. Anselm's Abbey and Benedictine vocations. Some students came with interesting questions about how one knows the call to become monks. Quite a few were willing to take a five-question quiz on Catholic Life in order to earn a blessed St. Benedict medal. Those that took the quiz did very well and all received a medal. May this effort to make the young girls and boys more aware of the option of consecrated life and priesthood plant seeds of future vocations.
