Fr. Philip was for many years a chaplain at nearby Providence Hospital until it closed in late 2018. Since then he served as chaplain for elderly people living at the Jeanne Jugan Residence on Harewood Road, conducted by the Little Sisters of the Poor. Currently, he is prior of the monastic community.
In earlier decades, he studied monastic history at Sant’Anselmo in Rome. While in Europe, he helped establish a Benedictine monastery in Slovakia.
