On the morning of Saturday, June 15, Dom James Wiseman was re-elected to a further eight-year term as abbot of St. Anselm’s Abbey, in accord with the constitutions of the English Benedictine Congregation.  The photograph of the monastic community was taken right after the election and includes Abbot Geoffrey Scott of Douai Abbey in England, who presided at the election.  Not shown in the picture are Br. Dunstan Robidoux, who was recovering from pneumonia, and Fr. Paul McKane, who has been working as a priest in Montana for some years.  Abbot James said that he is well aware of both the challenges and the opportunities that face all monastic communities these days and is looking forward to having the help and support of all of his fellow monks as St. Anselm’s moves into the future.
