Dom Thomas Fahy, a member of the St. Anselm’s community living and working in Philadelphia, died in a traffic accident in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He was 78. Police accounts indicate that he died of a seizure before hitting a truck. His passenger, a lifelong family friend, was severely injured but has recovered. He was clothed as a novice at St. Anselm’s on 28 September 1952, solemnly professed in 1956 and ordained priest in 1957. For many years, he taught in our school, also at Trinity College, DC, Drexel University, Philadelphia and since 1990, in the English department at Holy Family College, Philadelphia. His funeral, which took place at St. Anselm’s on 13 October 2008, was attended by a large number of relatives, friends and students.
